Immediate Objectives
Colonial St. Augustine Foundation has adopted the following objectives:
- Assist in constructing an educational center that will enhance the visiting public's appreciation of our nation's only seventeenth-century fortress and help to improve the architectural respectability of the area surrounding the Castillo de San Marcos.
- Acquire, when they are threatened by the relentless forces of modern change, any colonial-era historic resources in the Ancient City.
- Develop a funding base to support the preservation, restoration and reconstruction of colonial-era buildings, objects, and features within the twenty-two block colonial presidio.
- Sponsor research in the history of St. Augustine and support and promote responsible archaeological investigation.
